Facilitator Bio
Mimi Bailey, RN, has focused her nursing in Chemical Dependency and Biofeedback. As a person who lives with the daily challenges of autoimmune disease and as a cancer survivor, she also continues to learn on a daily basis about the personal application of this course work.
She received her B.S. Ed. from Nova University. Mimi began mindfulness and stress reduction work in 1982 and has studied under the guidance of many highly qualified teachers of contemplative psychology and meditation. She completed an eight-week course of Mindfulness Stress Reduction and internship at U Mass Medical Center in 1998.
Mimi is an avid supporter of preventative and integrative medicine and follows the comprehensive mind/body approach she has studied these many years. Her unique background as an educator, nurse and modern-day contemplative enable her to share the concepts of Mindfulness in a simple, straightforward style.
